This one size cape is completely reversible and features a Velcro closure that can be used as the front or the back of the cape. A satin binding ruffled edge adds interest. This pattern is for the shell of the cape only. The decorations pictured are to inspire you for your own design and are not included in this pattern. This pattern is perfect for new seamstresses and young girls. If you are new to sewing your own pageant wear or using a PDF pattern this is the perfect project to start sewing. Use your imagination, let’s see what you can create!

 Please note that PDF patterns differ from traditional sewing patterns, and not all PDF designers have the same style. We prefer to give measurements for simple rectangles instead of rectangular pattern pieces to save your time, paper, ink, and tape. You will only receive pattern pieces for curved portions of the garment, and you will follow the cutting chart for the remaining pieces.

Easy to make and fun

My two year old loves her cape. We will be using it for snacks on pageant day since she does not wear makeup, but she loves to twirl in this! Ribbon binding is pretty expensive, so I first tried satin blanket binding but ended up switching to bias tape for the edge.

Came out so cute!

Was way easier than I thought it would be to construct. My daughter loves hers.
