I think everyone who sees this falls in love with it. I made more passes through on the shirring than it called for, but I like it and the gathering is almost too full. ..But I ended up putting a row of ribbon in the middle of the top ruffle because I decided that was easier than trying to pick out thread beneath the stitching that I just did to permanently put it on with. the ribbon matched the material of the ruffle perfectly and looks really good. Taking it with me to her when I get to go see her--my new grandbaby.
