    Cute and simple

This dress was an easy sew. It turned out so cute. The directions are easy to follow and very little paper use for the pattern. I would recommend this for a quick, cute, retro style dress.

    Already planning the next one!

I'd been eyeing this pattern for a little while now, and finally had the perfect fabric for it. The pattern instructions are incredibly well written and the accompanying photos are very helpful. I was really impressed with how easily everything went together, until I got to the very end when it tells you to sew the elastic thread to the back bodice after the dress is fully constructed. I had a very hard time doing this and it ended up looking terrible. Luckily, it is in the back and mostly covered by the bow, but I will be trying a different method next time. Next time I'm also going to try making the front bodice a tad shorter and using a bit of interfacing on it; also making the straps longer and a bit thinner. Will report back as to how the modifications worked (or didn't). Overall, I'm really happy I purchased this pattern and am excited to make about a million of these for my little girl.

    Retro at its best!

This dress reminds me of a cross between Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe. I love vintage anything, so it is right up my alley.
