Poppy's Peekaboo Dress was the first tie-back bodice of its kind! Since its release and immediate explosion into the boutique world in 2013, others have tried to recreate this iconic bodice, but you can't beat an original! This adorable dress was designed for spring and summer, but many have layered it with a long sleeve shirt and ruffle pants and it's even cute for fall and winter! Besides the tie-back, this pattern also features a sweetheart shaped front bodice, elastic back waist, and a double layer skirt with different peekaboo options.  This pattern can also be created as a single layer skirt or a double layer without the peekaboo option. The babies pattern includes a closed back version since a knot on the back may be uncomfortable to babies who spend most of their time on their backs. This pattern works best with wovens, but many have upcycled t-shirts to use as the bodice (tutorial HERE). Get creative with rayon challis or lace to create that one-of-a-kind, fun, yet girlie, outfit your daughter or boutique customers will love! The sky is the limit now let’s see what YOU can do with it!

    most adorable versatile pattern

I get more compliments on these dresses than anything. The fit is always on point, due to the easy elastic and adorable back ties. This is my go-to dress for gifts and special occasions. I've easily modified it to have different looks as well (full coverage shirred back, single layer skirt, more than one pick-up, etc). Great pattern!

Poppy is definitely my favorite pattern! The dress looks great with one skirt or two, pickup ties or no pickuptl ties. Its the perfect dress to mix and match fabrics!

    Super Easy and Cute!

I'm a beginner and just started to learn to sew. This pattern is very easy to follow and is very easy to put together. Took me about 2 hours from printing the pattern, cutting the fabric, to finishing the dress. It's also very easy to modify. You need this pattern as a go to when you want something easy to sew.
