Layne's Ruffle Shorts Sizes NB to 15/16 Kids and Dolls PDF Pattern
These adorable shorts have a fun and simple design that will be a perfect addition to any spring or summer outfit! They look adorable with all of our top patterns, but their little sassy design looks cute paired with a ::gasp:: store bought shirt as well! We include measurements for both ruffle waist and non-ruffle waist shorts with or without leg ruffles! No matter what look you are going for we got ya covered! Use cotton, denim, broadcloth, linen, etc. and let your imagination take you away! The sky is the limit now let’s see what YOU can do with it!
This pattern is created with the same rise in the front and in the back for a more modest look. If you prefer a more modern, low rise front, you can use the blog below to achieve that look!

Quick & Easy Shorts Pattern!
This was a super easy and fast pattern to sew! As a beginner, it only took me about two hours from cutting out the pattern to making my final stitches! For someone more advanced, it would be no time at all! Love how it turned out!!

darling pattern
Very cute pattern. Instructions are easy to understand. Many possibilities for variety of pattern. Enjoyed making the shorts tho they seemed to run slightly large for my 2 year old granddaughter. Will make them again!

fab for skinnies
Great easy pattern, very quick sew. however I didn't like that the front and back were the same, this caused us to have fit issues, I adjusted rise as per the separate tutorial but they are still unwearable. if you daughter is slim these would be fab, but not recommended for a rounder child, mine 23.5" waist made age 6.

Very cute and extremely easy to make
The pattern is extremely clear, it was TTS for my 4yo, and the shorts are extremely cute and comfortable.

Easy to make
I purchased the pdf pattern for these shorts, and made them without the ruffle. This company had a suggestion on their blog for making them as a reversible pair of shorts and that is what I did. They came out perfectly and were easy to make. I would attach a picture if that were possible, but I do not see a way.
