Poppy's Peekaboo Dress was the first tie-back bodice of its kind! Since its release and immediate explosion into the boutique world in 2013, others have tried to recreate this iconic bodice, but you can't beat an original! This adorable dress was designed for spring and summer, but many have layered it with a long sleeve shirt and ruffle pants and it's even cute for fall and winter! Besides the tie-back, this pattern also features a sweetheart shaped front bodice, elastic back waist, and a double layer skirt with different peekaboo options.  This pattern can also be created as a single layer skirt or a double layer without the peekaboo option. The babies pattern includes a closed back version since a knot on the back may be uncomfortable to babies who spend most of their time on their backs. This pattern works best with wovens, but many have upcycled t-shirts to use as the bodice (tutorial HERE). Get creative with rayon challis or lace to create that one-of-a-kind, fun, yet girlie, outfit your daughter or boutique customers will love! The sky is the limit now let’s see what YOU can do with it!

    so Happy i Gave in!

I had been eyeing the Poppy pattern for months before I purchased it. I kept looking at the pictures but wasn't quite sold on it. I have no idea why. I finally bought it and sewed my first one right away. I used a purchased character t-shirt for the bodice. I had no issues following the extremely explained pattern. It has ended up being one of my favorite patterns. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated. Thank you again, CKC, for another winning pattern

I love this pattern so much. It is so adorable. In typical CKC style the pictures and tutorials make piecing this dress together a breeze. It really is an adorable dress and an easy sew.

    First CKC pattern made easy!

This pattern is well written and easy to follow. The few times that I got stuck, I watched the videos made for the sew along. It took me 10 hours from cutting the pattern to the last stitch, including watching the videos. ;) I wish I could add a picture but it turned out SUPER cute! my daughter only took it off to eat breakfast before school. :D

This pattern was how I found out about the ckc company. So easy to make and a great way to up cycle old t-shirts. It's great for making video game and anime in pried dresses too! I've made a Link one (legend of zelda), Sailor moon one and a wonder woman one. This is really a must for your collection :)
