Poppy's Peekaboo Dress was the first tie-back bodice of its kind! Since its release and immediate explosion into the boutique world in 2013, others have tried to recreate this iconic bodice, but you can't beat an original! This adorable dress was designed for spring and summer, but many have layered it with a long sleeve shirt and ruffle pants and it's even cute for fall and winter! Besides the tie-back, this pattern also features a sweetheart shaped front bodice, elastic back waist, and a double layer skirt with different peekaboo options.  This pattern can also be created as a single layer skirt or a double layer without the peekaboo option. The babies pattern includes a closed back version since a knot on the back may be uncomfortable to babies who spend most of their time on their backs. This pattern works best with wovens, but many have upcycled t-shirts to use as the bodice (tutorial HERE). Get creative with rayon challis or lace to create that one-of-a-kind, fun, yet girlie, outfit your daughter or boutique customers will love! The sky is the limit now let’s see what YOU can do with it!

The pattern was easy to follow and came together quickly. There were a few steps that were confusing or had typos, but the photos helped.

What a special dress this is! With its unique back, pickup(s) in the skirt, and twirl factor, this is a show-stopper for sure!

My first attempt at this dress was too small but the second one came out amazing, I have plans to make many more of this dress. This is one of my favorite patterns

    Love this dress!

I have 4 girls that range from 11 years-3 months and this dress is wonderful. It comes in a range of sizes which is perfect for us. My only complaint is that their is not a more modest back option. It is fine for my really little girls but my big girls will be wearing shirts with it. Either way it is a beautiful dress and I receive tons of compliments on them :-)

This dress is so cute and fun! You can make it with one skirt or two, and I think that's awesome!
