My 1st Ever Jacket & it is fantastic

Posted by Jodi Robertson on 4th Mar 2016

Never one to set reasonable challenges for myself I made my first willow with a thin-ish denim outer and quilting cotton lining/ruffles/bow. The instructions were easy to follow and amazingly I ended up with a beautiful coat for my daughter to wear with her birthday dress.

    Love this coat!

As usual, instructions and photos are fabulous. CKC makes it easy for me to make my kids look like rock stars! I love the couture look, my girls love the ruffles. The only issue we have is that Daddy doesn't tie a bow well yet.

Once you cut this pattern out, this is a very quick sew! I love the way it looks and you can make it thicker with a quilted lining.

    ok so truth be told...

i am scared of this pattern ONLY because I dont trust myself lmbo I have the fabric for making my daughter one all the thread and I have studied the pattern directions...But I am chicken lol... I plan on doing it Saturday night while my kids are sleeping n fiancee is at work and the house is still and silent so that I can focus!!! lol with our current house i have to be in the living room in order to sew...and its small and w a horse of a dog, a playful kitty, a preteen on her laptop w earbuds going and the 7 and 5 year old fighting over channels and switching to xbox and then arguing over who is making them loose...cuz hello 5 & 7...they both suck ( I say in the most loving motherly way full of warm fuzzy hearts) i tend to not b able to focuz when im sewing w life going on let alone having room to pull out my cutting board n cut my fabrics....we ARE moving and i WILL have a sewing room again...untill then...late night sewing and hectic day sewing it is.... its not always hectic around here i swear...today was that day tho! Fingers crossed I get some guts n go for this pattern!!!!
