This is a great more than simple but easy to sew dress. I love the flutters and pockets. They are super easy and just add another dimension to the dress. You definitely need this in your pattern stash.

I had fun sewing this dress. It was like putting together a puzzle, which I also enjoy. I emailed a question about the back of the dress and got a quick reply along with a pic to help answer my question. I love how the dress turned out. I made the dress using three fabrics.
Things I would like to change is the thickness of the straps at the end so the bow would be easier to tie and next time, I would make one a couple inches longer than the other so when I tie the bow, the ends are more the same.
The instructions were very easy to follow. I would like to have had some instructions on ironing seams on the bodice especially those that met with the elastic, but it all came through nicely.
I plan to make more with this pattern.

I found that as I worked through the pattern that it was confusing and bouncing back and forth from one step to another when some of the steps could have been streamlined and set aside (such as the initial ruffling could have all been in one step). I also thought that I had to read between the lines for several steps. Maybe that is to be expected on an Intermediate level but I just finished a beginning level and found the same thing to be true. I love how the dress turned out though. I do wish more instructions would have been given for sewers using a ruffler.

Was a slow going process at fist try, took over 4 hrs. to make the 1st time around .However the second time was much easier and faster. It is a cute little dress every one should give it a try.

Very good pattern...lots of rolled hems though so be prepared for a lot of manual labour if you do not have a serger. LOVE the way the strap attach at the back!
