Maxine's dress is simplistically elegant and just the piece for any setting. The beautiful ruching on the bodice creates an eye-catching centerpiece to the front of the dress which includes two sleeve options: thin or gathered--for a little more shoulder coverage. The most unique part about Maxine's is the giant bow sash in classic CKC over-the-top style.

As a top, Maxine's can be worn with shorts or a bloomers for warm weather and then layered with Brenda's Bubble T-Shirt or a sweater and Jenna's Ruffle Pants as the seasons change to cooler ones. As a dress, it can easily be fancied up with girly fabrics, fancy shoes, and a beautiful chunky necklace! Use cotton or linens with lace or satin trims and really let your imagination take you away!  The sky is the limit, now lets see what YOU can do with it!!

Maxine

I love the style of this dress. The ease of construction makes it a quick sew. Love that your patterns include such a big size range. I got it on sale so this was a great value all around!

This dress is so sweet! I've made 2 so far and love them both! I'm still working on perfecting my gathering of the bodice, but the pattern is easy to follow and well written

Precious!

Love the way you can make it a simple dress or to wear to a wedding from the fabric that is choose. The top is so pretty and looks difficult but as with all CKC that I have so far(not enough) the instruction as wonderful!

GORGEOUS!

I made this dress in a sweet eyelet, and it is just gorgeous on! Enough detail to be able to be dressy, but simple enough for everyday wear - it all depends on your fabric choice! The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. You need this one!

LOVE the Maxine!

This was so much fun to make! I made 2— one for St Patty's day and one that turned out to look like a princess/fairy dress! Love both of them and an easy sew!
