I had fun sewing this dress. It was like putting together a puzzle, which I also enjoy. I emailed a question about the back of the dress and got a quick reply along with a pic to help answer my question. I love how the dress turned out. I made the dress using three fabrics. Things I would like to change is the thickness of the straps at the end so the bow would be easier to tie and next time, I would make one a couple inches longer than the other so when I tie the bow, the ends are more the same. The instructions were very easy to follow. I would like to have had some instructions on ironing seams on the bodice especially those that met with the elastic, but it all came through nicely. I plan to make more with this pattern.
Love the style of Dahlia! Not my quickest sew but so worth the time to make. Love!
I love everything about this pattern! It's simple, easy to understand, and adorable as a top, dress, or maxi!
Working on my first maxi dahlia now and love!! The attention to detail on the pockets really make this dress so sweet!!!
We love the dahlia at our house. The back of this dress is stunning, and we also made this pattern into a tunic length with ruffled pants, and got SO many compliments on that outfit.
I love this pattern so much. It reminds me of something that I would have worn as a little girl. I had to purchase the doll pattern.
my very first. it was surprisingly simple :)
Sewing the sash on was my least favorite part of making this dress. Super cute results and people always compliment. Remember to put your pockets on while the skirt is flat pre-gather ;) For my skinny girls I make the dress and it's a tunic the following year! Fit is spot on as usual with ckc
It's so pretty! Love the pockets. Love the various lengths. Such a great pattern!
