    Beginner to Intermediate But....

Posted by Roxana on 3rd Sep 2014

I found that as I worked through the pattern that it was confusing and bouncing back and forth from one step to another when some of the steps could have been streamlined and set aside (such as the initial ruffling could have all been in one step). I also thought that I had to read between the lines for several steps. Maybe that is to be expected on an Intermediate level but I just finished a beginning level and found the same thing to be true. I love how the dress turned out though. I do wish more instructions would have been given for sewers using a ruffler.

I saw the pockets and knew I had to have this pattern. After a few minor bumps I completed 2 dresses and am even more in love with this pattern. It's an instant favorite and a must have for any little girl!

Before sewing the Dahlia Top, I had never sewn anything before. Even though I'm a beginner I had to try this pattern, it's just so cute I couldn't wait until after I had a little experience. I'm glad I didn't wait! The instructions with pictures were easy to follow. My daughter loves her new top and is now waiting for her dress!
