Did you know that Penny's Patchwork was one of our five original patterns that we opened up Create Kids Couture with? We always knew Penny's was a magical dress when we sewed it up for our boutique customers, little did we know that it would be the patchwork pattern that started it all! The skirt features three tiers of patchwork pieces that is topped off with a charming ruffle. The skirt is extra full for maximum twirl! It can be worn alone for a slimmer look or to really showcase the patchwork, pair it with a pettiskirt! Penny's is perfect for summer, but layered with a cute t-shirt like Rainey's will make it perfect for all seasons! The bodice slips right on for easy wearability and grows with children! The straps are anchored to the front of the bodice and tie in the back--also known as a reverse knot tie which is a classic in boutique style! This pattern will help create that one-of-a-kind outfit that you won't find anywhere else! Mix-and-match an array of fabrics to create millions of looks; no two dresses will look the same even when you use the same fabrics! The sky is the limit now lets see what YOU can do with it!

Computer drawn pattern pieces you can print over and over again; no more patterns that rip or tear!

Please note that PDF patterns differ from traditional sewing patterns, and not all PDF designers have the same style. We prefer to give measurements for simple rectangles instead of rectangular pattern pieces to save your time, paper, ink, and tape. You will only receive pattern pieces for curved portions of the garment, and you will follow the cutting chart for the remaining pieces.

Fun dress!

This is one of my daughter's favorite dresses. We've gotten year round use out of it by layering in the cooler months. If this dress is clean, it's the one she goes for. The pattern itself if very simple and straight forward. It does however take a bit of time to cut and assemble. This was one of the first things I made for my daughter and I got in a lot of practice stitching straight lines on this skirt and the results were well worth the effort. There is a lot fabric to gather for the skirt and bottom ruffle, but the end result is well worth it.

An under-appreciated gem!

The patchwork style skirt on this dress is amazing! I mashed it with the Dahlia bodice and the results were stunning!

Beautiful and reminds my daughter of her Nana

This dress is stunning!! The directions are easy to follow and well put together. The overall outcome is wonderful and to top it off it reminds my daughter of her late grandmother who made quilts for her (Something I surely can't do!). Thank you for the wonderful pattern and the wonderful memories CKC!!
