Hand smocking around the collar turns the simple silhouette into a family heirloom. Sue Ellen is a comfortable, loose fitting style that is perfect as a dress or top. Additional instructions included teach you how to turn this pattern (and any other hemmed dress) into a romper. No special equipment is needed to create the perfect look; but the pattern does include adjustments necessary when using a pleater. A smocking plate is included for all sizes, but you can add your own special touch by substituting another smocking plate or design.
